Situation
When CyberLucent™ first approached my business partner Sufyan Subzwari and I, they weren’t interested in my “Go-To-Market” services. They actually turned down our services.
Then two months later they came back after an investor had told them their user experience wasn’t up to par.
In our first meeting after 60 days, I learned that all they needed was a prototype and Power Point presentation to pitch to potential investors and get clients on board.
Task
We were tasked with getting a dashboard user interface stylized in an up to date manor in just two weeks.
Action
My first plan of action was to prescribe the Google Venture Design Sprint. Under the time constraints we could get the first prototype done in the first 4 days, and get real user data by the 5th.
That Monday, I gathered all the various stakeholders of the company from across North America on a Conference call. There we were able to share a RealTimeBoard, a virtual whiteboard, or shared brain for the Sprint.
This is the first time we’ve ever had everyone on the team in the same conference line, let alone the same room, Nate, thank you!
Stephen MacEwen CEO of CyberLucent™
The following Tuesday, we demo’d FitBit, Apple Watch, and Griffin smartwatch ecosystems to get a better understanding of what good user experience looked like to the stakeholders. Then the Chief Product Architect, Julian Durand, and myself roughed out sketches using RealTimeBoard.
Wednesday, Stephen, the CEO, chose which direction we were going. Julian and I then mapped out the user storyboard of how the CEO of the Law firm would go through the task flow.
